AstraSync AI today announced it has adopted ConnectID, Australia's bank-backed digital identity network, as the preferred identity verification provider for Australian developers registering on the Know Your Agent (KYA) platform.
The integration addresses a straightforward but largely unsolved problem in enterprise AI governance: when an AI agent takes an action on behalf of a business, who is the verified human accountable for it? AstraSync's KYA Platform is built around that question.
The ConnectID integration provides the answer at the point of agent registration. When a developer registers to govern agents on AstraSync, they can now verify their identity by authenticating through their existing Australian bank via ConnectID.
With the developer’s consent, their bank confirms a limited set of verified identity attributes (e.g. first, and last name), which AstraSync matches against the developer's profile and cryptographically binds to their Know Your Developer (KYD) record. No other personal data is shared, and there is no need to upload copies of sensitive details.
ConnectID's verified badges are then displayed in the developer profile, giving counterparties confidence that the identity behind an agent has been verified by a regulated, trusted party.Australian financial institution.
The result is a verifiable chain of accountability running from bank to developer to agent to counterparty. This is the trust structure that enterprise adoption of agentic AI requires.
AstraSync is the first agent-identity platform to use ConnectID as the trust anchor for AI agent provenance in Australia.
