Australian Payments Plus (AP+) hosted a series of End User Forums in June and August 2025 across Sydney and Melbourne, providing a platform for direct engagement with corporates, superannuation funds, retailers, government agencies, and technology providers. The sessions are part of AP+’s ongoing dialogue with end-users to understand their needs as well as the needs of other stakeholders of the payments systems we operate.
Attendees shared perspectives on how Australia’s payments infrastructure can continue to evolve to meet the needs of businesses and consumers. There was strong support for ensuring that A2A payments deliver trusted, consistent and user-friendly experiences, with alignment on language, data standards and integration seen as key to enabling growth and innovation across the ecosystem.
Discussions also explored opportunities to enhance NPP capabilities, including the role of richer ISO data, standardised payment formats, and streamlined processes for bulk and recurring payments. Participants highlighted the potential for initiatives such as PayTo to simplify payments and strengthen confidence through improved transparency and automation.
Feedback on the roundtables was positive, with attendees valuing the relevance of the topics and the opportunity to engage directly with AP+ and contribute to future program development.
Our thanks go to all of the attendees for their participation.
