AP+ Payment Service Provider Forum   – April 2026 meeting

19 May 2026

AP+ hosted its first PSP Forum for 2026 on 30 April, bringing together payment service providers to discuss key industry initiatives, transition readiness and priorities shaping the future of account-to-account payments in Australia.

The session included an update on the draft vision for account-to-account (A2A) payments being developed in collaboration with AusPayNet, the RBA and Commonwealth Treasury. AP+ encouraged participants to provide feedback on the draft vision and priorities ahead of the final report planned for release in June.

AP+ also shared updates on refreshed PayID and PayTo brand guidelines and new messaging toolkits designed to support more consistent implementation and customer experiences across the ecosystem. Discussion highlighted growing PayTo awareness in market, supported by coordinated campaigns and increasing adoption across industry participants.

A key focus of the forum was “transition to live” planning for upcoming NPP initiatives and releases. AP+ outlined the importance of coordinated engagement, operational readiness, live proving and ecosystem-wide collaboration to support successful industry launches. Participants reflected on lessons learned from previous programs, including the need for earlier engagement, clearer communication, stronger testing environments and more consistent customer experiences across the ecosystem.

Attendees also discussed upcoming roadmap initiatives, including the ISO 20022 upgrade, Osko harmonisation, NPP cloud migration, capacity uplift activities and a range of PayTo enhancements focused on richer data, reporting and customer experience improvements.

The forum reinforced the importance of ongoing collaboration between AP+, PSPs and the broader ecosystem as industry participants prepare for significant change across payments infrastructure and capabilities over the coming years.

Our thanks go to attendees for their participation, with AP+ staff joined by representatives from Azupay, Bolt Group, Constantinople, DSPANZ, Fat Zebra, Flash Payments, Fusion Pay, Global Payments, GoCardless, Linkly, Merchant Warrior, Monoova, Ozedi, Paydock, Paypa Plane and Stripe.
