AP+ hosted its latest Payment Service Provider (PSP) Forum in July, bringing together payment service providers and industry representatives to discuss ConnectID's roadmap and opportunities to support identity verification, fraud prevention and customer onboarding across the payments ecosystem.
The session explored a range of current and future use cases for ConnectID, including onboarding, higher-risk transactions, merchant services, gaming, gig economy payments and real-time payouts. Participants also discussed opportunities to combine identity verification with payment experiences, including PayTo, to deliver seamless and secure customer journeys.
Discussion highlighted the value of ConnectID's privacy-preserving approach, enabling people to verify identity attributes without sharing unnecessary personal information. Participants also explored the role ConnectID can play alongside Australia's broader digital identity ecosystem and discussed future opportunities to strengthen fraud prevention through collaboration across the network.
The forum provided valuable industry input on ConnectID, its representative model, technical integration and future roadmap. AP+ will continue working closely with payment service providers and the broader ecosystem as ConnectID continues to evolve and new capabilities are developed.
Our thanks go to attendees for their participation.
