Fast, secure payments
PayID® makes sending and receiving money fast and easy. You can use your mobile number, email address, ABN, or Organisation Identifier as your PayID to receive fast, secure payments in your online banking.
See who you're paying
The best part about paying to a PayID is that you’ll know your money is going to the right person or business before you hit send. This can help protect you from fraud, scams and mistaken payments.

Scam alert: Be aware of ‘scambling’
‘Scambling’ is slang for illegal online gambling platforms advertised on social media and messaging apps that trick people to visit a scam website to participate in gambling. If you are asked to transfer funds to a PayID on an illegal gambling site, it is almost certainly a scambling website. Contact your financial institution if you think you’ve been ‘scambled’.

Be scam aware. Stop. Check. Protect.
When using PayID, stop and check you're paying the right person or business before you hit send.

You should also remember:
- PayID will never contact you directly. Not ever.
- Emails or text messages claiming to be from PayID are a scam.
- PayID will never ask you to send money to receive money or ask you to ‘upgrade your account’.
Have you been ‘scambled’?
- Be aware of illegal online gambling scams. You can check if a gambling operator is legal here. If it’s not listed, it’s likely operating illegally as a ‘scambling’ site.
- If you are being asked to transfer money via PayID on illegal gambling sites, this is a scam.
- You cannot win money from these sites, or get your money back if you have been ’scambled.
If you believe you have been scammed, please contact your financial institution.
