For Businesses

A smart, safe way to pay employees, vendors and customers
Designed with businesses in mind, Confirmation of Payee provides match outcomes to help you make informed decisions and help protect your payments from errors and mistaken payments.

Why Confirmation of Payee matters for your business
Confirmation of Payee matches the account name, BSB and account number against the recipient’s bank records to provide match outcomes.
- Minimises errors: Reduces the likelihood of mistaken payments.
- Promotes confidence: Gives businesses confidence that bank details of employees, vendor and customers match before they pay.
- Efficiency: Reduces manual work and exception handling.
- Saves costs: Eliminates the need for micro-deposits or payment retries.
Match before you pay
When you make a payment, Confirmation of Payee checks the account name, BSB and account number you’ve entered against the details held by the recipient’s bank. You’ll see a match outcome that helps you decide whether to continue with the payment, or double-check the details with the intended recipient.

Close match

Use cases
- Streamline employee setup processes by matching their provided bank details before you run payroll, reducing errors or payment delays.
- Prevent fraudulent and mistaken payments to your vendors by matching banking records.
- Set up customer payments confidently by matching bank details before you pay.
- As cheques are phased out, pay dividends direct to your customer’s bank account and ensure it will get to the intended recipient before you pay.
