Continued innovation

eftpos continues to evolve with the needs of industries, businesses and consumers by investing in technology and delivering innovative payments capabilities and experiences.

Committed to security

eftpos is committed to giving everyone in Australia a safe, reliable way to pay. With a robust focus on innovation and security, eftpos prioritises trust and safety to ensure merchants and consumers are protected in every transaction, and disruption is minimised.

Fraud prevention

eftpos uses leading edge technology to protect merchants and cardholders from fraud, and accelerate detection and resolution.

Tokenisation services

eftpos leverages tokenisation technology to enhance security and streamline mobile, ecommerce, and in-store transactions – this removes the exposure and need for merchants to store card details.

PCI DSS compliance

eftpos adheres to the stringent requirements of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) to ensure every transaction is secure and processed in a safe environment.

Strong customer authentication

eftpos is committed to protecting businesses and consumers from fraud and reducing disputes. Online merchants can request customers to authenticate themselves with EMV® 3DS prior to transaction processing.

In-store transactions

Consumers can pay securely in-store using contactless, chip and PIN technology, or tokenised mobile wallets.

Stand-in processing

eftpos offers stand-in processing (STIP) capability that can authorise and process payments if the cardholder’s bank is unreachable, minimising disruptions to businesses and consumers.

eftpos vs EFTPOS: What’s the difference?
